Finally getting a Graphics Tablet :D
Right now it's ether a Wacom Bamboo Capture or Splash, can anybody tell me if one is better than the other art wise?

I don't have any experience with the Capture. But I've owned several Wacoms, and the quality has always been great. The warranty is quite good, as well, which is a point to consider, given the expense. The pens are comfortable, the drawing surface has a good feel, and most importantantly, the responsiveness and compatibility are outstanding.

Personally, though, I'd skip the bamboo and look for an older model of the Graphire. I had a Graphite 3 for a long time, which I would recommend. With some savvy shopping, you can probably find one for a similar price to the Bamboo. The real advantage between the two is that Graphires offer finer detail in pressure sensitivity and have a pen tilt functionality. The latter is a must, IMO, because it feels most natural and makes the muscle memory "learning curve" more easy.

One You Tube review of the Capture does mentions the Graphire by name but only in passing while recommending the Capture. The Graphire series is something I will look into now, thanks.

No problem! I'd suggest the Graphire 3, myself, if you're looking for something less expensive than the newest Graphires.

Hm... I don't too much about the two, except a little on the Capture one. I think with that one you can move your finger tip to scroll around and what not like a mouse. However, I have a bamboo tablet which is a model, CTL-460. I got it about 3 years ago I think, it was pretty cheap compared to the other ones which cost around the 3 digit numbers (My tablet was a bout $60 or 70 I believe.) Mines kind of plain, but it did me well for good while and still going. Sorry it's not much help. You can probably check out a couple of videos relating to those two to see which may tickle your fancy.

I started checking some videos and it does help thank you. Wasn't really concern with the track bad feature (though it is nice) but rather the controls and software sense the Splash has been advertised for graphic art and the Capture for Photo editing but they both do a fine job with digital art. From what I got from the videos, the biggest difference between the two is the included software; the Splash comes with Art Rage (simple Graphic art program tailored for a tablet) while the Capture comes with Adobe Elements (striped down PS) along with the extra keys for added control along with the touch pad function. Not sure how ether would work with GIMP or InkScape so it's nice to know. Best Buy is advertising the Capture with Corel Paint as well, if this isn't typo (Wacom only advertised the Create with that additional software) that may end up being the deal breaker
